Educational Eligibility & Age Criteria
Minimum academic qualifications, degree disciplines, and age limits as per notification.
Qualification
Passed Class 10 or equivalent under the 10+2 system, with at least 50% aggregate marks, and possess a National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
Required Degrees
Class 10 pass/equivalent and National Trade Certificate (NCVT/SCVT).

50% aggregate in Class 10

Age Relaxation
SC/ST: 5 years. OBC: 3 years. PwBD: 10 years. Ex-Servicemen: Up to an additional 10 years, plus 3 years, subject to the conditions stated in the notification.
Age Condition
• Candidates must have completed 15 years and must not have completed 24 years of age as on 22.11.2026.
Other Conditions
• Educational/technical qualifications must be obtained from a recognized Board/Government University/Institute by the date of application.

Official Guideline
• Merit is calculated using the simple average of Class 10 percentage and ITI marks in the relevant trade.
• Marks in all Class 10 subjects are considered.
• ITI marks are taken from the provisional/final certificate.
• If candidates have equal marks, the older candidate is preferred. If their dates of birth are also the same, the candidate who passed Class 10 earlier is considered first.
• The final merit list is prepared division/unit-wise, trade-wise and community-wise.
• No centralized merit list will be formed.
• Final selection is subject to verification of original documents and medical fitness.
